We were promptly entertained and served by extremely helpful and cheerful staff. The restroom was clean and easily accessible. Their signature chicken was well seasoned and enjoyable to the bone. The Halo Halo exceeded my expectations, with a variety of ingredients carefully mixed in a large glass, making it very appealing. The party of 6 ordered several dishes, and I managed to try them all. I enjoyed them all , but my favourites were the sisig dishes and fresh vegetarian Lumpia. The food gave us the energy to brave the chilly Chicago winter. My son loved the kare-kare and garlic rice and asked me to make them at home. It’s worth the trip to Chicago.

We had a lovely Pinoy evening at the Chicago Max. We feasted on Lumpia Shanghai, Pancit, Fried Chicken, Liempo and BBQ Skewers. Super friendly service! Big call out to Gina who took great care of us. Great place for Pinoy gatherings.

My family and I are Filipino, so we are familiar with many authentic dishes and cook a lot of them at home. There aren’t many Filipino restaurants out there, and sometimes we find them and aren’t very impressed. But Max’s was such a huge surprise! The food was all amazing and we were more than happy to take leftovers home. I wasn’t there when the order was placed so I don’t remember the name of every dish very well, but we ordered pork, shrimp, and fish sinagang, fried chicken, lumpia, white and garlic rice, kare kare (one of my personal favorite), pasig, and more! It was such a feast and all very well cooked. Of course, we finished it off with several orders of halo-halo! The staff was very friendly and I’m certain my family and I will be back to try even more amazing food!

Everything sounded so delicious it was hard to choose what to order and, as expected, the flavors did not disappoint! We especially enjoyed the crispiness of the chiken and lechon but the kare kare was especially good. For dessert we ordered halo-halo and it was enormous! So refreshing. Whether it's your first time trying a Filipino dish or the millionth, anyone would enjoy their time at Max's.

We had an absolute feast when we visited Max's RestaurantChicago Bring your appetite. Allow your taste buds to be transported to an exotic land where food is plenty and shared with friends and family The drinks will transport you to the tropics. The food's arrival will confirm that you're no longer in your average neighborhood restaurant. For our drinks, we had the Mango and Calamansi (Philippine Lime). These were actually like slushies, the Calamansi was citrusy but sweet. Both were very refreshing and delicious. We started with the Calamari appetizer, which was fresh, tasty, and more than enough for two. We then ordered the Fiesta Platter (available on weekdays and dine in only). We couldn't believe our eyes at the size of it. It easily feeds 4 or 5. The Fiesta Platter consists of: Crispy Pata Chicken Inasal Inihaw Na Liempo Lumpiang Shanghai Daing Na Bangus Grilled Eggplant Pancit Bihon Garlic Rice Everything is cooked well done and crispy. Just the way we like it. For dessert, we ordered the Halo-Halo, which consists of: Macapuno (Coconut meat) Milk Gulaman (gelatin) Beans Shaved Ice Ube Paste Leche Flan Ube Ice Cream Rice Crispies Jack Fruit Banana You mix up or shake the ingredients before digging in. Such a delicious end to our meal. This could easily feed four as well. Service from our waitress, Jeanna, was excellent. The restaurant is clean and inviting. They are right next to Seafood City, so there is plenty of parking. Bring your loved one, bring your family, and bring your friends! Enjoy a memorable feast of Philipino food at Max's Restaurant Chicago

Although the Max Fried Chicken didn't taste like the one I'm used to at their restaurant in Cebu, Philippines, it was still good. It was a little bit dry, but overall, it was satisfying. The Family Fiesta bilao was well worth the price because you get to try almost everything that they offer at the restaurant. The family size halo-halo was huge! Really HUGE! If you are a family of 4, you can't finish it. The experience was great! All the food in the family fiesta bilao tasted authentic.
